Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as old Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations, to help keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
